Environment

Welcome to Green Movement:

Project GREEN MOVEMENT is the environmental initiative of HELP2EDUCATE FOUNDATION that aims to increase the green cover of the state of Karnataka.

“According to recent researches, India’s per capita CO2 emission is 1.4 metric ton (i.e. 1400 kg) and it’s growing high with development. Trees are the most efficient value for money way to offset CO2 emission, as a single average full-fledged tree extinguish 21 kg of CO2/year”

Tree plantation project in Hyderabad and “Karnataka region:

The Hyderabad-Karnataka region comprises Bihar, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal,  Bellary and Gulbarga that are in the present state of Karnataka. The Hyderabad- Karnataka region is the second-largest arid region in India. Though drought and flood are common in the region.

Vision:

From the year 2017 help2educate initiating tree plantation campaign in Hyderabad Karnataka reign. The campaign for farmers and schools. A total of 15000 trees will be planted on farmers’ wasteland. The green movement initiates plantations with farmers to support them with a sustainable income. farmers have been affected by the recurring drought and uneven rainfall, due to this odd scenario and the global climate changes, the farmers are facing a lot of. due to this odd scenario and the global climate changes the farmers are facing a lot of issues. And if this worse this situation will be out of control.it is now an agricultural dilemma. the farmer can not stop the agriculture not accept the losses cause by the recurring failures. To bring back the lost greenery we have been doing tree plantation in drought regions. but now we realize that by planting the same trees in villages, we can help the farmers have a sustainable income. we shall plant fruit-bearing saplings with farmers and these trees will help them to have parallel income.

How we work with school

  • About 200 to 300 schools will be chosen to be part of the Green Movement with the approval of the district Chief Educational Officer (CEO)
  • The saplings grown in schools are meant to be planted in school premises or distributed to other schools in the district that are not a part of the Green School Movement. Saplings will also be given for distributing among to residents and nearby residential locations for planting in households
  • The mission of ‘Green School Movement is to create green consciousness among school children through a mindset change by involving them in sapling production and plantation

Why tree plantation?

Trees contributes to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe.

20 Benefits of trees

Trees combat climate change

Excess carbon dioxide (CO2) caused by many factors is building up in our atmosphere and contributing to climate change. Trees absorb CO2, removing and storing the carbon while releasing the oxygen back into the air. In one year, an acre of mature trees absorbs the amount of CO2 produced when you drive your car 26,000 miles.

Trees clean the air

Trees absorb odors and pollutant gases (nitrogen oxides, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, and ozone) and filter particulates out of the air by trapping them on their leaves and bark.

Trees provide oxygen

In one year an acre of mature trees can provide enough oxygen for 18 people.

Trees cool the streets and the city

Average temperatures in Los Angeles have risen 6°F in the last 50 years as tree coverage has declined and the number of heat-absorbing roads and buildings has increased. Trees cool the city by up to 10°F, by shading our homes and streets, breaking up urban “heat islands” and releasing water vapor into the air through their leaves.

Trees conserve energy

Three trees placed strategically around a single-family home can cut summer air conditioning needs by up to 50 percent. By reducing the energy demand for cooling our houses, we reduce carbon dioxide and other pollution emissions from power plants.

Trees save water

Shade from trees slows water evaporation from thirsty lawns. Most newly planted trees need only fifteen gallons of water a week. As trees transpire, they increase atmospheric moisture.

Trees help prevent water pollution

Trees reduce runoff by breaking rainfall thus allowing the water to flow down the trunk and into the earth below the tree. This prevents stormwater from carrying pollutants to the ocean. When mulched, trees act like a sponge that filters this water naturally and uses it to recharge groundwater supplies.

Trees help prevent soil erosion

On hillsides or stream slopes, trees slow runoff and hold soil in place.

Trees shield children from ultra-violet rays

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Trees reduce UV-B exposure by about 50 percent, thus protecting children on school campuses and playgrounds – where children spend hours outdoors.

Trees provide food

An apple tree can yield up to 15-20 bushels of fruit per year and can be planted on the tiniest urban lot. Aside from fruit for humans, trees provide food for birds and wildlife.

Trees heal

Studies have shown that patients with views of trees out their windows heal faster and with fewer complications. Children with ADHD show fewer symptoms when they have access to nature. Exposure to trees and nature aids concentration by reducing mental fatigue.

Trees reduce violence

Neighborhoods and homes that are barren have shown to have a greater incidence of violence in and out of the home than their greener counterparts. Trees and landscaping help to reduce the level of fear.

Trees mark the seasons

Is it winter, spring, summer, or fall? Look at the trees.

Trees create economic opportunities

Fruit harvested from community orchards can be sold, thus providing income. Small business opportunities in green waste management and landscaping arise when cities value mulching and its water-saving qualities. Vocational training for youth interested in green jobs is also a great way to develop economic opportunities from trees.

Trees are teachers and playmates

Whether as houses for children or creative and spiritual inspiration for adults, trees have provided the space for human retreat throughout the ages.

Trees provide a canopy and habitat for wildlife

Sycamore and oak are among the many urban species that provide excellent urban homes for birds, bees, possums, and squirrels.

Trees block things

Trees can mask concrete walls or parking lots, and unsightly views. They muffle sound from nearby streets and freeways and create an eye-soothing canopy of green. Trees absorb dust and wind and reduce glare.

Trees provide wood

In suburban and rural areas, trees can be selectively harvested for fuel and craft wood.

Trees increase property values

The beauty of a well-planted property and its surrounding street and neighborhood can raise property values by as much as 15 percent.

Trees increase business traffic

Studies show that the more trees and landscaping a business district has, the more business will flow in. A tree-lined street will also slow traffic – enough to allow the drivers to look at the storefronts instead of whizzing by.

Adopt a Tree

Adopting a plant is certainly the most simple and efficient way to ensure your first step towards contribution for conservation.

Adopting a tree through us is also much valuable and efficient towards environment conservation because every single plant you adopt through us is going to be planted in the Karnataka.

Every single plantation in regions holds very much efficiency and value towards maintaining ecological balance on earth and holds special values in the context of India and Indians.

All you have to do is just register yourself with us to adopt a plant (or as much as you wish to do) from our different categories of plants and a list of regions where they are going to be planted. After selecting the plant of your choice you just have to send some small initial amount which includes plantation and other maintenance costs like watering, fertilization, cultivation, pruning, and weeding.

We will not only take care of your adopted plant until it grows into a full-fledged tree but also send you the location details, where plantation has been done, and also send you regular updates, including photographs regarding the growth of your adopted plant. Later you also can visit the location to ensure. A

If you are making your mind for adopting a plant just send us a mail or just simply call us to get details.
